A funeral announcement is a personal message sent to family and friends of a deceased person to inform them about the death, and provide information about a Funeral or Memorial service.

The announcement may include the name and age of the deceased, the date and time of the service, the location of the service, and any other relevant information, such as where to send condolences or how to make donations in the deceased's name.

Historically, funeral announcements were published in local newspapers in the town where the deceased lived, or sent via text or email, but today they are often posted on a Memorial Website to more easily reach the deceased's community wherever they may live.
