Estate Accountant

An estate accountant is an Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who specializes in managing the financial affairs of a deceased person's Estate.

They work with Executors and attorneys to ensure that Assets are properly valued, managed, and distributed properly.

They inventory and Appraise the deceased's assets, file tax returns, pay Debts, and distributing assets to Heirs and Beneficiaries according to the deceased person's Will or Trust.

They may also advise on how to minimize Estate Taxes and ensure that the estate is managed in a way that meets the wishes of the deceased person and state law.
